Balcony Coffee and Tea is a cozy café nestled in the heart of Los Angeles’ Koreatown, offering a thoughtful selection of single-origin coffees and carefully crafted teas. The space has a welcoming, intimate feel that makes it ideal for a quiet morning coffee, a casual meetup, or a low-key workspace. Seating is limited, leaning toward those who appreciate a slower pace rather than bustling crowds.

The café takes its coffee seriously, roasting beans in-house and serving drinks that highlight the unique flavors of their organic single-origin blends. The iced Americano and the variety of lattes—like the vanilla, Spanish, and cortado—are popular choices, appreciated for their balance and approachability. Those looking for something off the usual coffee path will find intriguing options such as the hōjicha latte or the golden chai latte, each showing care in preparation and ingredients. Their menu also reaches beyond beverages, with simple fresh pastries and light meals like avocado bagels or Korean-inspired dishes such as haejang-guk paired with banchan, making it a versatile spot for breakfast or a midday pause.

Balcony’s atmosphere feels personal and pet-friendly, often attracting locals who enjoy a relaxed setting where baristas take time to chat and offer recommendations. It’s common to see dog owners stopping by with their pets, drawn by the café’s welcoming vibe and even a wall adorned with photos of canine visitors. Early mornings here tend to be calm, setting a nice tone for the day, while afternoons offer a soft background hum—suitable for remote work, light studying, or casual conversation.

Situated on N Western Avenue, the café fits neatly into the fabric of Koreatown’s eclectic dining and lifestyle scene, standing out for its quiet charm amid the lively area. It’s best appreciated by those who favor quality, thoughtful drinks over speedy grab-and-go, making Balcony a reliable spot for anyone who wants a genuinely comfortable local coffee experience in Los Angeles.

I had the banana cream matcha and it was amazing, creamy, lightly sweet, and not too heavy. You can tell they put some thought into balancing flavors because the banana wasn’t overpowering, it just blended really well with the matcha. We also split a pistachio croissant that was flaky, buttery, and really satisfying. The shop itself feels cozy and welcoming, a good place to grab a drink and relax. I’d definitely come back to try more from their menu.

This is a very cozy cafe. They have a wide selection of drinks, and if you're unsure about something, ask the staff, who will be very helpful. I ordered a Golden Latte that day, and the staff explained the flavor. They offer simple breads, freshly made meals, and decaffeinated beverages. When we visited, the Google Maps name hadn't been corrected. I've posted this review and see that it's now corrected. I highly recommend it. I'll definitely be back if I'm back in LA!

Cute atmosphere with tasty cold brew iced coffee. Coffee beans are roasted in house. I had the avocado bagel which was fresh and delicious. Nice staff and would definitely recommend stopping by if you are in the area.

Delicious Dulce de Leche latte, staff were very nice and it has a very cozy atmosphere. There isn’t much seating but it would be perfect for coming to get some studying or remote work done.

Balcony is run by a really inviting guy that loves dogs. Yes they’re pet friendly, to the max! They have a board with dog guest pictures in it! So adorable! As we walked in the barista greeted us and even chatted. It was about 730 am too. No grumpy people here! Great matcha and coffee. I recommend the tiramisu coffee. The pastries are really good too. They have an awesome cinnamon bun. I know where they get them and it shows they know what they’re doing! There’s a side buns come from a strange unfriendly place lol. You won’t have awkward moments here though! I’ll be definitely back! On another occasion I got a croissant and an iced matcha latte! The croissant was so well made! It was heaven! Fresh as heck! The matcha iced latte was exceptional too! There’s a side patio and the decor is minimalist. Very clean and modern look. Kudos! Parking in front.

Cool coffee shop. Really like the outdoor area. A little noisy but brings a vibe. Bagel was decent.

Stopped by Dolce Vita and tried the coconut matcha. Super smooth, not too sweet, and full of rich, quality matcha flavor. The pistachio croissant was fresh and delicious. Chill, modern vibe inside. Great spot for unique matcha drinks and pastries.

Love this cute little café! It’s clean and cozy, and the coffee tastes amazing — you can tell they really care about how it’s brewed. The owner is always so friendly, which makes the place feel extra warm and welcoming. There’s a nice covered outdoor area too, and parking on the side is super convenient. Perfect spot to chill or catch up with friends!
